Virat Kohli Prepares for Ranji Trophy Return: Training with Delhi Begins on Tuesday 

In the last few days, many photos and videos of famous Indian batter Virat Kohli doing training sessions in Mumbai have surfaced on social media. Former India and RCB batting coach Sanjay Bangar accompanied him. Thus, The player prepared for his first participation in the Ranji Trophy in 12 years. He will play for Delhi.

The First Practice is on Tuesday 

Kohli is expected to participate in the Delhi training session as early as Tuesday, January 28 (coach Sarandeep Singh has confirmed this information). The squad has a few days left before the final match of the Ranji Trophy group stage against Railways. The game will be played from January 30 to February 2. Kohli could have played in the previous Delhi match but was hampered by a neck injury. His participation in the tournament was made possible after the BCCI issued strict new guidelines for contracted players. One of these rules was participation in domestic cricket. 

Busy Calendar 

The last matches of the Ranji Trophy group stage will conclude just four days before the Indian team begins play against England. The teams will face a three-match ODI series. This clash is vital in India’s preparation for the Champions Trophy. It also plays a five-match T20I series against England in January-February and beat the Three Lions in the first two games. 

Virat Kohli was earlier included in the Indian squad for the ODI series against England. He was also named one of the 15 cricketers who will play for the team at ICC CT 2025. India will play their first match on February 20 against Bangladesh. All team’s matches will be held in Dubai.
