Rohit Sharma Delighted After India’s Four-Wicket Win Over England in First ODI 

One of the leaders of the Indian team, Rohit Sharma, commented on the four-wicket win over England in the first ODI game. He praised his teammates for their inspired and focused play and talked about the importance of this series in preparing for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025.

Preparing for CT 2025 

India will play the first match of CT 2025 as early as February 20. The ODI clash against Three Lions is helping them prepare for the tournament. As Sharma mentioned, he would like to see the team continue to perform well in every aspect of the game, from bowling to batting. This was achieved in the first ODI match, and the Indian team hopes to accomplish this in the subsequent games of the series. The player emphasized that a few wickets at the end could have been kept out, but that is normal, considering the team played its first ODI game in 6 months. Praise for Axar Patel 

Rohit also praised Axar Patel for his 47-ball 52 after the player was sent to the No. 5 position. According to him, the team needed a left-arm spinner in the middle at that point of time because the opponents had players who were going to bowl at left-armed players. As Sharma emphasized, Axar has made much progress in the last few years, and he amply demonstrated this in the first match against England.
