The upcoming ODI match will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Historically, the coverage of this pitch has been slow, favoring spinners. The average scoring rate at this stadium is just 5.2 runs per over. For this reason, fans are likely to face a tense battle between bat and ball. 

India’s Dominance 

India won the first and second matches of the ODI series by four wickets each. If the team wins the third game as well, it will head to CT 2025 with seven wins over England in eight matches. It is worth recalling that before the ODI clash, these same rivals met in five T20I matches, and India won 4-1. 

India’s performances have many positives. One of them is Rohit Sharma’s successful run of form. In the second match, for instance, he reached a century (119 off 90 balls). Fans are also expecting a great performance from Virat Kohli, hoping that he will pick up good form for the start of CT. 

England Needs to Improve 

Regarding India’s opponent, England has looked unconvincing so far. Irrespective of the third ODI result, the team’s Indian tour has turned out badly. It has six defeats in seven matches so far (ODI+T20I). The most worrying point for the Three Lions is the lack of stability in the middle-order play. Besides, the team has lost Jacob Bethell due to injury, whose presence would have boosted its chances.
