Pakistan to Host Spectacular ICC CT 2025 Opening Events

Two Ceremonies will be Held in Lahore

For Pakistan, CT 2025 is the first major ICC event in the country in almost three decades. The first opening event is planned for February 7 in Lahore at Gaddafi Stadium. Attendees will be treated to performances by the country’s top artists and a laser show. The main ceremony in Lahore is set for February 16 and will take place at Hazoori Bagh. Legendary cricketers, state officials, and ICC representatives are expected to attend. Visitors can witness musical and local cultural performances and other activities. The ceremony will conclude with an impressive drone show, decorating the sky with images of historic cricketing events.

Enhanced Safety Measures

On February 11, the opening event will also be held in Karachi. The celebrations are planned to be held at the National Bank Stadium. Former President Asif Ali Zardari is expected to attend. Sindhi music and performances, as well as a fireworks display, are expected. As in Lahore, Karachi will have serious security measures in place. PCB works closely with local and national services to ensure the safety of fans, players, and officials. All plans and process management scenarios have been thoroughly worked out to provide visitors and participants with a positive experience.

Uncertainty with Stadiums

It is important to recall that Pakistan’s stadiums are still undergoing reconstruction. Fans and experts are anxious whether the arenas will be operational before the start of the tournament. An ICC delegation arrived in Pakistan recently to examine the stadiums’ readiness. But nothing is known about their verdict so far. Some experts believe that the matches could be moved to the UAE.
